So... Your complaint is that, in a few isolated instances, his style has changed marginally over time, and that he's not constantly trumping himself with better work than he's done previously?

Sounds like you're setting the bar unreasonably high. The song has some sick lines; let go of the ones you're not so thrilled by, and appreciate its strengths. It's not like his material got WEAK.

Love this album. The beats are great. Nothin' wrong with "Rapper's Delight" in my book -- I thought it was fantastic.
